About.
I was born in Canada but grew up in a small town in the Czech Republic. I received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto, as well as a joint Master’s degree in International Relations from the Free University of Berlin, the Humboldt University of Berlin, and the University of Potsdam before moving to Chicago where I received my PhD in Political Science from Northwestern University. I moved to Claremont, California in 2023 to take up a position as Visiting Assistant Professor of Global Politics at Scripps College.
When I’m not working, I enjoy travelling, cooking, and hanging out with my cat, Jacques Derrida.
